Naboso is Andrej and Nadja.
Nadja, originally from Germany, discovered her passion for wine years ago. What started as a hobby grew into a full-time career.
Falling in love with both Andrej and Slovakia, Nadja moved to Slovakia, marking the beginning of NABOSO. In addition to making wine and managing sales, Nadja also creates ceramics under her Earthea brand.
Andrej has been involved in winemaking for over a decade, refining his skills and knowledge each year. Together, Nadja and Andrej bring their diverse experiences and knowledge together to create exceptional wines.
Nadja and Andrej over her NABOSO philosophy:
"At NABOSO we make wine because we love it. From carefully caring for the vines throughout the year to harvesting at the perfect time, every step is a labor of love. Whether it is pressing grapes by foot , monitoring the fermentation or the final steps of bottling, labeling and waxing, each process is carried out with care and passion. The joy we find in winemaking is reflected in every bottle, and the positive feedback from wine lovers about the the whole world is our greatest reward.
Our philosophy is simple: we produce natural wine that is stable, flawless, drinkable and enjoyable. If we don't love it, it won't leave our basement."
NABOSO currently manages approximately 5 hectares of vineyards just outside Svätý Jur. The vineyards lie on a granite subsoil with rich, sandy soils, all facing south to south-east. This unique terroir contributes to the distinctive character of the wines.
The winery is housed in a historic 17th-century building on the main street of the picturesque town of Svätý Jur, just 10 minutes from Bratislava.
The labels are works of art, created in collaboration with Galleri Kalhoj in Copenhagen. Every year, Dorthe Kalhoj designs unique faces for the bottles, turning them into storage objects.
