NABOSO is Andrej and Nadja.

Nadja, originally from Germany, found her passion for wine years ago. Having fallen in love with Andrej as well as Slovakia, Nadja moved there which marked the start of NABOSO. Next to making wine and managing the sales, Nadja also makes ceramics under her brand Earthea.

Andrej has been making wine for more than ten years and has been able to refine his skills and knowledge with every year. Together, Nadja and Andrej unite their various experiences and knowledge in order to make exceptional wines.

At the moment NABOSO manages around 5 hectares of vineyards just outside of Svätý Jur. The vineyards are planted on rich sandy soils with subsoils of granite and all face south to southeast. This unique terroir contributes to the distinguished character of the wines.

The winery is located in a historic 17th century building in the main street of the picturesque village of Svätý Jur, about 10 minutes from Bratislava.

The labels of NABOSO are artworks of their own, created in collaboration with Galleri Kalhoj from Copenhagen. Every year, Dorthe Kalhoj designs unique faces for the bottles, making them collector’s items.

This is what Nadja and Andrej have to say about their NABOSO philosophy:

At NABOSO we make wine because we love it. From the careful care for the vines during the entire year to harvesting at the perfect moment, every step is a work of love. Whether it is the pressing of the grapes by foot, watching over the fermentation of the last steps of bottling, labeling and waxing, every step of the proces is performed with care and passion. The joy we find in making wine can be encountered in every bottle and the positive feedback we receive from winelovers all over the world is our greatest reward.

Our philosophy is simple: we produce natural wine that is stable, faultless, drinkable and enjoyable. If we do not love it, it does not leave our cellar.

There is high demand for their wines and every year Nadja gives us a nice allocation. So be quick and grab them before they’re gone!
