We are Odile and Ricky from Winestories and we are lucky enough to import natural wines. Special wines from special winemakers. Wines with a story. Low yields, rediscovered local grape varieties, biodynamic or organic winemaking. From winemakers with a passion for making good wine. They restore old or abandoned vineyards and bring them back to life. They use local grape varieties, follow the movement of the moon and influences from the cosmos. The winemakers work day and night to create a delicious product by working as hard as possible in the vineyard. So they don't have to use bad products to protect the vineyard against bacteria. No herbicides, pesticides or other chemicals and irrigation in the vineyard. Minimal or no use of SO2. As long as the vineyard is healthy, the wine is healthy, without additives.
Winestories was founded in May 2017. We both worked for several years in restaurants and wine bars in Tuscany and Amsterdam before starting Winestories together. Because we share one passion, wine and food. Odile studied Law at the University of Amsterdam and followed WSET2 and WSET3 courses. Riccardo studied wine and oenology at the University of Pisa and was a sommelier at Enoteca Marcucci for many years. He then had his own restaurant in Pietrasanta and was awarded second place in the 2006 FISAR sommelier competition Il miglior sommelier d'Italia.
Since March 2020 we also have our own restaurant OTTO VOLANTE at the Overtoom in Amsterdam!
