Rosso, which is made in very small quantities, is a special wine for Nikolas. He actually wanted to focus only on the local tradition, white wine with skin maceration, but they also have some vineyards with old red grape varieties. Two parcels in Montona and Cormons, with a mix of Merlot, Schioppettino, and Carmenere. A shame not to do anything with this! But then in the Nikolas way, he adds 25% Ribolla Gialla. 4/5 days of skin contact and aged in barrique. Light red wine and soft tannins, lots of red fruit but it drinks like a rich white wine. Delicious and very special from this region.
