WEINGUT MELSHEIMER - MOSEL
Located in the area of Reil, Mosel. The Melsheimer family produces great Rieslings on the steep slopes of the river. Almost half of their production is actually produced at the very steep slopes as pictured which are only 5% of the whole area. Imagine the labour. But devoted as they are they produce for five generations already, almost exclusively Riesling wines here. Since 1995 recognized as a winery devoted to ecological wine growing, in 2013 they got the Demeter certification. They passionately believe in biodynamic Riesling from the slate slopes, one type of soil, one grape variety, one valley. Though all his wines are made of the same grape variety, each of them is a great individual with its one unique character.
Pétillant naturel from Riesling and Johanniter. No sulfites, no filtration. The wine has a lively, creamy mousse with notes of golden
and green apple, ginger, orange zest with a lengthy finish.
Beautiful, rich, dry Riesling. Spontaneous fermentation on the skins without filtration or stabilization. Natural. Very unique for this area. And only 11% of alcohol! Also in magnum available.
