LE GRAPPIN, BEAUNE BURGUNDY
Andrew and Emma Nielssen of Le Grappin. Australian/Britisch couple making wine in their old cellar in the heart of Beaune, Burgundy. They don't own their own vineyards, because Burgundy... but they make crazy good wines with the grapes they buy from organic vineyards in the area. They do all the work themselves, which includes leaving out everything that is not neccessary for making wine. So low or no sulfites, no chemicals in the vineyards and no heavy use of new oak or filtration/stabilization.
They produce high level Burgundy wines such as Premier crus and next to that their Du Grappin line, the more affordable and natural wines. For these wines they try to work as natural possible, ending up in wines without any fining or filtration and always a very high glouglou level.
